Living in a place far from home is one of the most difficult part of life.
It was July 9 when UM Davao called me up for an interview and demonstration. The STA informed me in advance that the vacant slot is for UM Tagum only. Much to my desperation to get a job, I automatically said yes. On the 10th, I was all so nervous and afraid. I don't know what to do. I'm scared that I won't get hired. When it was my turn to have my interview and demo, I must say I did my best and I wasn't expecting for a good news. Then it was all over when, the panel gave me a chance to be a teacher. They finally decided to hire me. I feel so happy that day. What's more surprising was, I have to report on July 11 right away. That feeling you get, when you have to leave the comforts of being home for a much greener pasture.
Then, here I am, working in UM. As I am about to celebrate my 1st year anniversary in this institution, I feel so delighted to have found a family in the presence of my friends. We may not agree in so many ways but the love is there. I always thank God for giving me the opportunity to explore the other side of Mindanao. My world has gone bigger. I gained independence from the pampering of my parents (Haha! Feeling princess at home, in Davao.) I become more sociable. I learned the realities of life (budgeting my money) Most especially, I learned that God knows where to place me in the right time at the right moment of my life.
awesome.,.
